Odyssey is unique in Canada 's landscape. We create an extraordinary theatrical language to interpret our themes, integrating physical theatre and text, fusing western traditions of masked performance with those of other cultures, and incorporating the arts of music, dance, Commedia dell'Arte, clown, bouffon, puppetry and Asian dance/drama. Opera Lyra Ottawa (OLO) is one of the largest independent arts organizations in the National Capital Region.  The company dared to be Ottawa's first professional opera company in 1984 and now  twenty-two years after staging our first production, Mozart's one-act opera The Impresario at the York Street Theatre in Ottawa's Byward Market, Opera Lyra Ottawa is proud to be presenting two mainstage productions each year on the prestigious stage of the National Arts Centre's Southam Hall.

The Ottawa Art Gallery (OAG), Ottawa 's designated municipal gallery, is an independent non-profit public art gallery committed to the acquisition, presentation, interpretation and dissemination of contemporary art for the benefit of the local arts community. OAG's programs explore a variety of issues and include exhibitions, talks, lectures, tours and publications. The Gallery has a growing contemporary collection of works associated with the region. It also houses the Firestone Collection of Canadian Art, which is presented through changing exhibitions. The Firestone Collection is comprised of over 1,600 works of art assembled by Ottawa collectors O.J. and Isobel Firestone, who purchased the works from the early 1950s to the 1970s.

The Ottawa Symphony Orchestra continues a musical tradition rooted in the nation's capital as far back as 1894. The present OSO came into being in 1965 when the city and its music lovers were experiencing a dry spell in orchestral music. The old Ottawa Philharmonic had come to an end and Ottawa fans had to rely on infrequent visits from the Montréal Symphony Orchestra to satisfy their taste for classical music.

Salamander Theatre for Young Audiences is the national capital region's popular touring resource for theatre and arts-in-education. We present professional performances at schools, festivals and communities, and provide valuable arts resources to teachers. Since 1993, Salamander artists have been dedicated to helping youth transform experiences to artistic expression. Shakespeare, Broadway, and historical writing camps give children, teens and adults the opportunity to obtain professional level training in a relaxed atmosphere each summer.

Club SAW, a flexible space accommodating an audience of 150, is a unique feature at SAW and contributes significantly to the character of the centre as a whole. Equipped with a bar and state-of-the-art sound system, it is used for screenings, concerts, artist talks, panel discussions, receptions, and workshops. It is a social space for the community to meet with exhibiting artists in an informal context.
